Most tap filters commit you to buying cartridges within a month. This one arrives with nine of them — around eighteen months of filtered water, in the box, at no extra cost. The chrome head screws onto the thread your kitchen tap already has, swivels a full 1080° so you can aim it into a pot or the far corner of the sink, and switches between an aerated stream and a wide fan spray. Carbon and PP cotton media inside reduce chlorine taste, odour, rust and sediment.
The reason this costs more up front than a bare aerator is what comes with it. Nine cartridges at roughly two months each is about eighteen months of filtered water before you need to buy anything — most tap filters ship with one and leave you on a subscription.
Adsorbs free chlorine, so the chemical smell and swimming-pool taste stop carrying through into water, tea and coffee.

It hand-tightens onto a standard tap thread where the existing aerator screws in, so if your aerator unscrews by hand or with a light twist, this goes on in its place. Check that your spout has a removable aerator first — mixer taps with a fixed or non-standard spout, and pull-out spray hoses, will not accept it.
The cartridge combines activated carbon with PP cotton. The carbon reduces chlorine taste and odour; the PP cotton catches rust, sand, sediment and pipe scale. It is a taste-and-sediment filter, not a purifier for bacteria or dissolved metals — if you need that level of treatment, our under-tap system is the right product.
You can see it. The clear window on the body shows the cartridge discolouring as it loads up with sediment, so you change it on evidence rather than guesswork. Around two months is typical for an average household.
The collar switches between an aerated column, which is best for filling glasses and bottles without splashing, and a wide fan spray for rinsing produce or washing up. The 1080° ball joint lets you aim either mode anywhere in the sink.
